I recently shared a grief poem, “Diamonds”, at Solace Temple

The poem speaks of being with a person who is grieving – offering your self, which is really the only thing you can offer.

I wasn’t able to figure out how to set the poem up with the spacing/indentations that are part of it in it’s original state, so I wanted to offer a link here to “Diamonds” on Square-Peg-People.

What I hope to do here is offer what I have to give to people who are grieving.

I have some knowledge: when I was a practicing psychotherapist I mainly worked with folks dealing with grief and/or trauma – and took many trainings, read many books, etc. on the topics.

I also have personal experience with grief – both the kind involving losing a loved one and the kind involving hardships in life.

But neither of these are the core of what I offer. I wish to offer encouragement and inspiration. Hope. To tell you that you are not alone – and that deep inside you is a core of strength that will nourish you when you open to it.

Namaste,

Karen
